Something fantastic happened to me three weeks ago- a Hummingbird flew right up to me and hovered three inches from my eyes for several seconds!
Animal Medicine is a powerful thing, and undeniable when something like that happens! But of course, it’s not always quite so spectacular and obvious.
When we pay attention to the interactions we are gifted by animals and plants and the elements (water, fire, earth and air) we can receive messages and teachings from them.
There are common medicines and messages that you can look up online by searching: “Hummingbird Spiritual Meaning,” for example. Hummingbird is often associated with Joy, and she has brought much joy into my life since becoming one of my Spirit Guides in 2016.
But these Beings have unique individual messages for us too, and the best way I know of to delve deeply into those very personal messages is in learning to Shamanic Journey.
Shamanic Journeying is the skill of sending a part of your Spirit SAFELY out of your body and into the Spirit World to meet and interact with your Spirit Guides to receive messages, guidance, healing, love, and transformation.
When Hummingbird first came into my life, in a Shamanic Journey she showed me to be like her and to gather nectar from many flowers, meaning to gather teachings from many teachers.
When I Shamanic Journeyed to her three weeks ago, she showed me that it is now time for me to open more fully to being like the flower, the source of nectar, the teacher for students to gather knowledge from.
I am teaching my workshop, Growing Your Shamanic Roots, on Saturday and Sunday, October 12 & 13, 2024 from 11am to 6 pm (EST).
This will be hybrid, both on zoom and in person for folks in the Ithaca NY area. I teach in Hummingbird Healing Room in my home, whose Spirit Name is Hummingbird House!
